Our 2008 Day Camp is offered in four two-week sessions throughout July
and August. We are closed July 1st and the August Civic Holiday.
Toronto Island offers children a special place to call their own. Water, Earth, fresh Air and Sunshine are in abundance and we take advantage of the natural setting and wideopen spaces to help children fall in love with Nature. Children are born naturalists, all they really need is a bit of time to make this discovery for themselves.
In July, each week is dedicated to an Element starting with Water, then Earth, Air and Fire. All activities, stories and songs explore these themes. August is about exploring the Worlds of the Earth: Mineral, Plant, Animals and Humans. The travel time, arts activities, creative play and eating together round out their day. Each afternoon we take time to rest and listen to stories and/or sing some songs together. This program is open to children who are at least 4 years old as of July 1, 2008 and not over 6 years of age during camp.
Vegetarian meals and snacks are prepared fresh daily in our kitchen. Children do not bring their own food from home.
