A favourite lunchtime soup!

  • 2 large onions (1 pound)
  • 2-3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 pound of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 litres water
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • ¼ C. barley
  • ½ pepper
  • 2–3 Tbsp. tamari or strong soya sauce

Peel, chop and fry 2 large onions (1 pound) in oil (2-3 Tbsp) until well done.

Add 1 pound of sliced mushrooms (fry as you like), 2 litres water, 2 tsp. salt.

When boiling add ¼ C. barley, ½ tsp. pepper, 2–3 Tbsp. tamari or strong soya sauce.

Ready in one hour.
